Ulead video capture software free download
Im tring to convert vhs home movies to SVCD's. Set me straight on any misconceptions I might have, or give be a better way of doing this. Ok, I was hoping someone could give me feed back on what Im doing wrong. When I go to select the audio source before converting, TMPGEnc wont accept the mpg2 file as a audio source. I have it set to a system stream with audio and video.

However, I cant get the final output movie from TMPGEnc to include the audio.
Finally I thought I had it, video quality remained very good. Then I used TMPGEnc to convert these final movies to an SVCD mpg2 file. So I tried capturing, editing, and outputting all in DVD mpg2's. I tried to capture to avi, using the Cinepak codec, setting the compression to none, which means a "raw" avi file right?, setting the size to 720x480 or 480x480 but it has worse quality than the DVD mpg2 captures. This defect isnt in the original capture to DVD mpg2. Ive been getting these funny horizontal lines that come off of edges like off the sleeve of a person in the video. But it doesnt seem to work well that way all the time. I thought I had it figured out by capturing to DVD mpg2, doing the editing and effects with those, and then authoring the final movie in SVCD mpg2. The problem Ive been having is that the only way to get good video quality is to capture straight to DVD mpg2, capturing to vcd mpg1 or svcd mpg2 looks really bad.
Hi, Ive been trying to capture from my VIVO GF4 video card, which has a Phillips video chip, not the Personal Cinema feature.
